"I don't go out to hear music anymore; not because I don't like going out, but because it seems I always come home disappointed. I saw 'Thomas & April' last month... A DUO MIND YOU, and it was the most dynamic act I've seen in YEARS! You've got to check them out."

(Grammy Award-winning, founding member of Huey Lewis and The News)

Two artists, born in Florida, would not meet until their adult years in California. The story of this powerhouse acoustic duo began in 2015  in Los Angeles, CA at the Artist Relations Endorse Expo. This is where the two exceptionally gifted artists, Thomas Claxton and April Henry would meet. At the event, the two heard each other perform for the first time, each impressed with the other’s abilities. The following year at the same event, they would speak again, doing an interview together for RockStarDreams.com.

During the Fall of 2016, The NAMM Show 2017 was drawing closer.  The two artists discussed bringing their talents together for a handful of performances in California at the world's largest music merchants convention. They decided to work up a handful of cover songs and originals, while also deciding to not make further plans of playing together, and just see how it all works out. After great feedback and positive reviews, the two are now very busy NOT making plans for the Thomas and April East and West Coast Tours!

An award-winning artist, garnering accolades in both singer and songwriter categories in the prestigious International Songwriting Competition (ISC) among others, April Henry’s talents have been recognized by industry luminaries such as Peter Gabriel, Tom Waits, Adele, Robert Smith, and Epic Records president Amanda Ghost. In opening for artists like The Yardbirds, Michelle Branch and Gavin DeGraw, she uses her particular brand of theatricality and high-octane vocals to take audiences on an almost otherworldly rollercoaster.

Chosen by Los Angeles, California-based rock publication, Rockwell UnScene Magazine, as their “Best Male Vocalist” for the past three years, Thomas Claxton performs over 300 shows per year having toured with a number of well-known performers such as, Chuck Negron (lead vocalist for Three Dog Night), and performed live on stage with highly skilled artists such as Nicko McBrain (drummer for Iron Maiden), and others. He has recorded professionally with the likes of Mario Cipollina (original bassist for Huey Lewis and The News) and "Kidd Funkadelic" Michael Hampton (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and guitarist for George Clinton's Parliament-Funkadelic). Thomas has also opened for notable performers such as: Funk-Rock pioneers, Mother's Finest; Drivin' N Cryin'; Mili Matijevic (lead vocals for Steelheart and the movie "Rock Star"; and Stephen Pearcy (lead vocals for RATT), and Jasin Todd (founding member and lead guitarist for Shinedown).
